This characterful retreat occupies a newly renovated one-storey building and features a high wood-panelled ceiling with a modern mezzanine that accommodates the bedroom. The striking interior combines modern styling with historic details, including exposed stone and the original shutters.

The bright, light-filled living space is furnished with a double sofa bed, a dining table and a large flatscreen digital TV. This central space leads through to the jacuzzi, the bathroom and the terrace. Positioned in a loggia, the kitchen looks out to the terrace where guests can dine alfresco or soak up the sun on a lounger. The kitchen is equipped with a coffee machine with pods, a cooker hob, an oven, a microwave and a fridge freezer. There is also a BBQ for the exclusive use of the apartment.

The property is situated in the enchanting town of Martano in the heart of Salento. The town is celebrated for its Greek heritage, architecture and is ideally located for exploring Lecce (a 25-minute drive), Otranto (a 20-minute drive), renowned wine and olive oil trails and many of the region's popular beaches. The pristine beaches of Spiaggia Alimini and Baia dei Turchi are both a 20-minute drive.

History lovers will enjoy popular sites like the Castle of Monti (a 15-minute drive) and the Aragonese Castle of Otranto (a 20-minute drive). Other popular excursions include a visit to the beautiful Cave of Poetry and La Cutura Botanical Garden, an unmissable site that features rare flora and fauna (both a 25-minute drive).

Guests can find various restaurants within a 5-minute walk and a supermarket within a 2-minute walk. For the best local produce, visitors can head to the weekly open-air market (every Tuesday morning) at Piazza Assunta (a 3-minute walk) to find the best seasonal produce.
