These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the dolidays.com website and the services offered by Dolidays Srl. By accessing the site or making a booking, the user declares to have read, understood and fully accepted the following.
1. Nature of the service
Dolidays operates a platform that connects owners/managers of short-term rental accommodations with users interested in booking them. By making a booking through the site, the user enters into a direct, binding contractual relationship with the owner/manager of the accommodation: Dolidays acts as a technical intermediary, transmitting booking details, and cannot be held responsible for errors in the information provided by owners (including descriptive or typographical inaccuracies).
Owners remain solely responsible for the accuracy of rates, availability and descriptions of the accommodations listed, and declare that the services offered comply with what is stated in the listing (including any indications on pets allowed, where present).
2. Registration and costs
- Registration and use of the site by users/travellers are free of charge, with no commission payable by them.
- Registration for owners/managers is free of charge; a commission is charged on the total booking price (including any extras), payable only if a booking is actually confirmed and completed.
- Payments are processed by the site via the Nexi XPay circuit, in the name and on behalf of the owner/manager of the accommodation.
3. Booking and payment
Payment made at the time of booking constitutes final payment (in full or in part, depending on the rate) of the amount due and cannot be unilaterally revoked by the user. By making a booking, the user accepts the specific cancellation conditions indicated for that rate/accommodation, in addition to these general terms. For certain rates or special offers, cancellations, refunds or changes may not be permitted; in the event of a no-show, the owner may still charge the applicable fees (e.g. tourist tax, if applicable).
It is the user's responsibility to promptly inform the owner of any delay in arrival: Dolidays is not liable for the consequences of an undisclosed late arrival. Dolidays is not responsible for charge requests (authorised, unauthorised or alleged as such) made by the owner, except where unauthorised use of payment instruments is demonstrably attributable to a failure on Dolidays' part.
By making a booking, the user agrees to receive informational communications about the stay (pre-arrival) and an invitation to leave a review after the stay.
4. Complaints
Any complaints or claims for compensation must be submitted within 30 days of the end date of the stay to which they relate; complaints submitted after this deadline may be rejected. Dolidays reserves the right to verify the merits of each request and to forward it to the relevant owner/manager, without directly assuming compensation obligations towards the user.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Dolidays Srl and its staff are not liable for indirect, special or consequential losses or damages arising from the use of the site or of services booked through it, nor for the accuracy of information (rates, availability, descriptions) provided by owners on the platform. Dolidays is neither a reseller nor an owner of the accommodations advertised: any complaints regarding the quality of the stay should be addressed directly to the owner/manager.
It is the owner's/manager's responsibility to collect, withhold and pay applicable taxes to the relevant authorities (including any tourist tax); Dolidays assumes no responsibility for such tax obligations.
6. User-uploaded content
By uploading photos, images or text to the site, the user declares to hold the relevant rights and grants Dolidays Srl a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, valid for the duration of publication on the site, to use, reproduce and display them as part of the service. Whoever uploads content assumes full legal responsibility towards any third-party claims. Dolidays reserves the right to remove non-compliant content at any time, without notice.
7. Intellectual property
The software, the structure of the site and the related intellectual property rights (including copyright on editorial content) are the exclusive property of Dolidays Srl or licensed to it. Copying, reproducing, republishing or otherwise using the site's content or the Dolidays brand without prior written authorisation is not permitted.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Italian law. For any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance, where the user qualifies as a consumer, the competent court will be that of the user's place of residence or domicile, pursuant to the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005).
